GMB Rotherham

The Rotherham GMB Union would like to respond to the Comms that was sent out to all RMBC staff regarding the ending of Christmas Closure.
RMBC have closed for 13 years at Christmas at a detriment to all staff by making them pay for this, while saving over £60 million pounds and placing that money in to reserves. GMB Rotherham said enough was enough and refused to allow this to continue. In the A/L Policy it’s states on point 3 that staff receive an additional 3 days and these can be fixed at Christmas.. Staff need to be aware these are not the 3 days you have purchased for the last 13 years. GMB Rotherham’s Branch Secretary Amanda.

❌ We do NOT agree to another 12 months of pay cuts.
💷 Rotherham Council has put £20 million into reserves over the last 6 years,
👩‍👩‍👦‍👦 while staff have been forced to take pay cuts.
⚖️ This is unfair and unacceptable.
