🏉 Women’s Rugby Development Pathway at Thomas Rotherham College 🏉

Thomas Rotherham College is proud to be growing its Women’s Rugby Development Pathway, giving female players the chance to continue playing rugby alongside their studies.

Our festival and competition based programme is designed to support player development as women’s rugby continues to grow across the FE sector. Students will have opportunities to:

✅ Represent TRC at regional and invitational rugby festivals
✅ Compete in the Yorkshire Regional 7s Tournament
✅ Play friendly fixtures where appropriate
✅ Take part in structured team training, delivered weekly or through rotational blocks

This pathway supports players in balancing education, club rugby and competitive college rugby, and is the first step in the long-term development of a full women’s rugby programme at TRC.

Are you coming to TRC next year? Wanting play basketball as an extra curricular, or something fun to do whilst studying? Come down to our open session next Thursday! You’ll get to meet the coach and some of the team.

Opening evening at TRC tomorrow 19th March, we are not open to gym members until 7.30pm, Astro bookings start 8-9pm

❄️ Unfortunately the pitches at TRC, Oakwood and Winterhill are all called off for this evenings bookings. We have the sports hall at TRC available 5-6 and 6-7pm if anyone would like to come inside. The gym will be open as normal this evening. Sorry for any inconvenience ⛄️

Just to inform all of our adult language students that no classes will be running this evening(Thursday 8th January 2026) and this lesson will be made up at the end of the course

Inspire Sports will be open as normal this evening. Please note: if the weather changes into the evening we may have to cancel some facilities.
