Dearne Valley RUFC has made the difficult decision to withdraw its 1st XV from Counties 3 Yorkshire for the remainder of the season.

Thank you to our players, coaches, volunteers, supporters, and sponsors for your incredible support.

This is a pause, not an ending. We are committed to building back stronger.

An understrength Dearne Valley side made the journey to North Yorkshire this afternoon and came up against a well-drilled Skipton outfit.

Despite being short-handed for long periods, Dearne showed real grit, resilience and determination, working tirelessly and making the hosts earn every point.

Dearne are back on the road again next week as they travel to Leeds to take on Burley.

Dearne Valley are defeated at home by a very strong Leeds Corinthians side who are deservedly in the promotion hunt.

A second half rally by the home side showed what Dearne are capable of, but ultimately proved too little too late:
