This Tuesday, we have a special night planned.
A pub quiz that will raise funds for one of friends at the Roe who has made the brave decision on running the London Marathon in aid of MENCAP.
As a first for us, we’ll just run with it!

The upcoming quiz is a fundraising event for my marathon. I am running for the charity Mencap which is an organisation very important to me and my family.
As you may or not know, my sister, Zoe, has learning difficulties and Mencap have supported her and our family for many years.
The quiz will be a chance to raise funds to help me towards my target. There will also be a raffle held which has some excellent prizes such as; a £100 Ivy Voucher, Whistles handbag and Bolney Vineyard tour amongst many others!

With much thought, we have decided to adjust our trading hours to reflect current business levels.

We aren’t going anywhere, just tightening our belts!

Thank you so much, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day & New Years Eve were the best we’ve seen at the Roe..
December on a whole however was difficult.
But we’ll fight on for another day at least!

It was my 9 year anniversary yesterday of becoming the custodian of this great house! X

As the year draws to a close, felt it was only right to give this night to Freya.
She has had the most eventful, busy 2025.
Her glorious summer wedding to her one and only Danny, which was one of the highlight of the year so far…. but they have only gone and topped it!

Not just performing at the Roe for New Years Eve a slot that has been held for the past few years by the fab who are away making their millions on the other side of the word at the moment.

With great excitement…

Freya and Danny are expecting in June 2026!!

So we’re gonna see 2025 out in style.. mirror balls & sparkles are a must..

What a way to celebrate such great news!!

It’s gonna be a busy one.. bring your dancing shoes or drinking boots if you prefer!

Hi all,

We’ve decided to try and raise a little money for a good cause this Christmas.
It isn’t always about us, yes we’ve all heard what difficulties the hospitality industry is in and especially small business and pubs in particular but I feel this is where we come together and be there for everyone. As a family and a community.

Charity begins at home and this is our home. The Roe deer.

It’s been a very difficult year for a few of our loved regulars and also myself personally with loved ones coping with firstly, hearing those awful words of diagnosis, then starting a horrid treatment programme.
In the hope of it all being a success.

I’ve never done anything like this before so please forgive me of misspellings and of how it’s done properly.

We just want to make a little difference as it’s kind of a big deal and pretty emotional right now. 🩷

This is a charity which affects us all personally and as a pub community. We would like to do our part and try and make a difference where we can. Macmillan do whatever it takes to help everyone living with cancer across the UK and transform care for anyone who may be diagnosed in the future.
