And the roadshow continues… 😅

Today I had the privilege of speaking at a retreat for fellow business owners, sharing my talk on: The 6 Human Needs That Shape Our Happiness
-A deeper look at fulfilment, wellbeing, business and sustainable success.

No - to confirm these chairs weren’t empty when I spoke. 🤣 In fact, I was so immersed in the day that I completely forgot to take photos or ask anyone to capture any videos.

So the chairs will have to serve as proof that I was actually there… and perhaps as a reminder to myself that I can stand up and talk about the things I care deeply about beyond the comfort zones of my 1:1 sessions.

More importantly, I think people left my talk having learnt something, reflected on something, or seen themselves a little differently. For me, that’s always the goal.

Every time I speak, I realise there is more to refine, more to articulate and more nuance to bring to what I want to say. But I suppose that’s how we grow - not by waiting until we’re perfect, but by continuing to take action and show up and practise anyway!

It’s been a beautiful day all round. Yoga, mediation, interesting conversations, thought-provoking talks rounded off with a wonderful sound bath.

And now? I’m completely snoozy! - feeling relaxed and grateful for the immense week I feel I have had. This is a generous reminder that sometimes the impact isn’t about grabbing people’s attention on social media with ‘busyness’ and ‘noisiness’ - it can be more in the ordinary reality of life and in the conversations people carry away, afterwards. ♥️🙏🏽

🤔 Hands up who has a full diary?!

Most of us... right? Me too...

Does that stress you out?

All that pressure that we put on ourselves to tick everything off the list, attend all the meetings, reply to all messages, emails, etc.

And that's all day, every day 🤦‍♀️

Stress is not just your full diary, but everything that comes with it.

The pressure to be enough and/or excel in all areas - good enough mum/dad, friend, businesswoman/men, employee, satisfy everyone, meet everyone's expectations, make sure we don't forget anything!

That's A LOT!

When you feel stressed and overwhelmed - you're not failing, it's your body and mind trying to tell you that you need a break.

You need a moment to rest and reset.

Listen to them.

Stop ignoring them.

Your body and mind are your friends, not your enemies.

They are sending you those friendly reminders, communicating with you.

Listen - tune in - rest.

A moment of stillness can change the whole direction of your day.

The world quietens, body slows down, nervous system rests.

These quiet pauses remind you that you don’t have to keep pushing for validation, that you are complete, enough, worthy just the way you are.

🤫 The link we very rarely talk about...

Burnout isn’t always about work.

Sometimes it’s the grief we don’t name - the emotional load we carry quietly, the strength we try to hold together for everyone else, because that's what's expected of us.

Stress can be the body’s alarm, grief the quiet ache underneath, and burnout the point where it all becomes too much to carry alone.
