Fun Friday: ‘Recipe for Iced coffee
1. Have kids
2. Make Coffee
3. Forget Coffee
4. Drink it Cold’
When you’re a parent, having a good sense of sense of humour will serve you well especially when you’re going through a tough phase.
When my children were young, I was always told that, ‘One day you’ll look back and laugh at all this!’ and although that has been true for many things, I’m still waiting to see the funny side for plenty of others!
On a more serious note, though, having had 4 children myself, one of whom had a formal diagnosis of ADHD as a child, I do know that I could have benefitted from some practical advice and guidance myself!
This is why I’ve been supporting parents for 20+ years to develop their parenting tools so that they can better manage and deal with the challenges that arise when raising a child one step at a time, notably those with ADHD, Autism and other additional needs.
Want to know more?
Then do read on...
Together we can create a plan of action for you that is appropriate to your needs and circumstances which is based on an Observe, Do, Review approach because it’s an effective system for learning.
I am confident you’ll find my ideas and suggestions both practical and useful without requiring too much effort from you.
You will also be delighted to see how a bit of bespoke assistance can shorten the road to any goals you have planned whilst helping you to get more out of today already!
So, act today and get in touch for a free, no obligation chat, that comes complete with some practical tips, to ensure you hit the ground running.
Above all, take heart: You don’t have to go it alone because we’re in this together and help is at hand!❤️

‘Which is better: Bathtub or shower?’
For some of you, your answer will be a definitive one and for others it’ll depend on a raft of things!
The same goes with parenting, only it’s fair to argue there are probably fewer definitive situations!
And that’s okay!
What works for one person doesn’t work for another because there’s no one size fit all!
If you’re stuck and not sure what decision to make for your child, let me be of service!
You see, I’ve seen it all!
Apart from having 4 children myself, one of whom had a formal diagnosis of ADHD as a child, I have been championing the interests of families and individuals for 20+ years, particularly those with ADHD and Autism!
I’m known for an Observe, Do, Review approach because it’s an effective system for learning and implementation which doesn’t require too much effort from you to achieve the results you want and deserve.
So I’m ready for anything and can help you to hit the ground running!
Get in touch (DM or Messenger) and let’s do this one step at a time to get things sorted!

Pearls of Wisdom Wednesday: ‘Difficult roads often lead to beautiful destinations!’
For all you parents out there, know that the trials and tribulations you go through with your children are all part and parcel of ensuring that, in turn, they become the kind of adults who will be able to cope with the demands of this modern world of ours!
Certainly, having had 4 children myself, one of whom had a formal diagnosis of ADHD as a child, I can totally relate to this!
What about you?
For the past 20+ years I have been championing the interests of families and individuals with the aim of helping my clients to create a plan of action, complete with ‘scripts’ which provide a template of how to respond in certain situations.

Not only does this approach not require too much effort from you but it also helps you achieve the results you want and deserve in no time at all!
I am confident you’ll find my practical tips useful and to the point and you’ll find they definitely shorten the road to any goals you have planned whilst helping you to get more out of today!
If you could do with a fresh set of eyes and ears in respect of your circumstances why not DM me so that we can discuss and tailor a plan of action to suit your needs?

‘What I need as a Mother: Practical help, non-judgemental listening, regular opportunity for respite. What I don’t need: Instructions, unsolicited advice or to be told how I should be feeling!’
When you are raising a child, everyone will have an opinion.
Some of what others say will contain pearls of wisdom and at other times nothing of any help or consequence!
Although things may change over time, depending on the age of the child, what a mother might need will essentially fall into two camps as outlined here!
Either which way, sometimes it’s about waiting for the dust to settle and allowing the mother to decide for herself what she really needs!
That’s why that’s why I offer parents like you a fresh perspective when you take advantage of the opportunity to have a no-obligation chat with me!
I have been championing the interests of families and individuals for 20+ years, particularly those with ADHD and Autism, so I’m ready for anything!

‘There are many opportunities in every single day! Monday is the perfect day to seize them all!’
And, perspective is everything, don’t you think?
When you’re a parent, it’s important to be able to look at things from several angles otherwise you can fall into the trap of assuming the worst rather than giving the benefit of the doubt.
This is especially true when you consider how quick we can be, as parents, to jump to the wrong conclusions rather than recognise the potential opportunities!
When we pay more attention to the things our children get right or are more forgiving when they make mistakes, we start to pave the way for our children to be more willing to develop new skills and demonstrate greater confidence to keep learning!
Perhaps it’s about time you consider a fresh perspective so that you can change the way you look at things yourself, eh?
As a parent of 4 children myself, one of whom had a formal diagnosis of ADHD as a child, I know how difficult it can be to make space for change to happen!
That’s why that’s why I offer parents like you the opportunity to have a no-obligation chat with me!
I have been championing the interests of families and individuals for 20+ years, particularly those with ADHD and Autism, so I’m ready for anything!

Self-care Sunday: Gentle reminders for today!
1. You can restart your day / mindset at any moment, regardless of the time.
2. You don’t have to force yourself to be positive or happy today if you’re not.
3. It’s okay if things don’t go to plan today.
You’re human, it’s impossible to get it all right.
4. Bad days can end as quickly as they arrive! You have so many good days to look forward to.
Which one of these catches your eye?
Take a moment to lean further into that thought and, if you’re a parent, know you are also just one DM away from getting a little support and encouragement from me!
I support parents, particularly those whose children have a formal diagnosis of ADHD and/or Autism, to understand the power of language and harness it more effectively to achieve win-win outcomes that build stronger, more purposeful parent-child relationships
Parents who have already used my services will tell you that I’m all about ideas that result in win-win outcomes for all parties as well as strengthen those all important parent-child relationships!
My recommendations are based on an Observe, Do, Review approach because it’s an effective system for learning and implementation which doesn’t require too much effort from you either!
It’s something I’ve been doing for over 20 years and I’m proud of my work!
Act today and get in touch for a free, no obligation chat, if you’d like to know more!

Fun Friday: ‘We can’t all look good at the same time! It’s either me, the kids or the house!’
Even when you break this down into its component parts, I’m still not sure ‘looking good’ is that easy to achieve! 😂😂
Who’s with me? 🤔🤔
On a more serious note, I’m always happy to be of service if you’re in need of some encouragement and advice!
I’m Lyn and for 20+ years I’ve been supporting parents to be the best versions of themselves that they can be, especially those who are managing and dealing with the challenges that arise when raising a child with ADHD, Autism and other additional needs.

‘If you could live off one food, what would it be?’
When it comes to food, I don’t know about you, I love having options… although come to think of it, I think that was the name of a hot chocolate drink too!😂😂😂
When it comes to parenting, it should be the same!
No parent wants to be issued with ultimatums or be stuck with a one-size-fits-all approach, do they?
However, it’s not always easy to determine what is sound advice for your family and circumstances, is it?
That’s why I offer parents the opportunity to have a no-obligation chat with me!
At the very least my aim is for you to leave the conversation with a couple of useful ideas that you can implement straight away!
For the record, those who know me will tell you that I’m all about ideas that result in win-win outcomes for all parties as well as strengthen those all important parent-child relationships!
I’m also known for an Observe, Do, Review approach because it’s an effective method for learning and implementation that doesn’t require too much effort from you to get the results you want and deserve!
Make use of this opportunity to get a fresh perspective and a package of support that will enable you to hit the ground running!
You’ve nothing to lose and everything to gain!
So, DM me and we can discuss any thoughts, queries or concerns you may have just now!
It’s up to you…

Pearls of Wisdom Wednesday: ‘You can be a good person and still say no, set boundaries, turn down an invite, distance yourself from toxic people, not help those who won’t help themselves, prioritise your self-care!’
What an impressive set of mind and body safety rules this is for us, parents, to ensure we avoid burnout!
When you’re a parent, it can be hard to think about your own needs but it’s important to remember that ‘you can’t pour from an empty cup!’
Believe me, I know what I’m talking about having had 4 children, one of whom had a formal diagnosis of ADHD as a child!
Does this resonate with you?
Need some ideas regarding how to find time for you whilst adding some useful strategies to your parenting toolbox?
Let me help you with that!
I’m Lyn, a parenting coach with 20+ years of experience and expertise, notably in the fields of ADHD and autism, so I’ve plenty of practical tips up my sleeve!
I’m also known for an Observe, Do, Review approach because it’s an effective system for learning that doesn’t require too much effort from you to get the results you want and deserve!
Know that you don’t have to go it alone because we’re in this together !
