I'm pleased to annouce that following discussions, which started September last year, I will be working in association with the Barbados High Commission UK to present an extension of the 'We Gathering' events happening in Barbados, right here in Reading later this year. Hard work, presenting my ideas and making the initial contact paid off.

Thank you to those of you who came out to Robin's Bajan Lime yesterday.

Due to the travelling community invading the event site, the Lime has now been postponed and will take place on Sunday 8th September at Prospect Park, Liebenrood Road, RG30 2ND.

Due to the traveller community moving onto the event site, we have had to postpone the event until September 8th. Venue will be confirmed soon.

Dates for your diaries. Robin's Bajan Lime and Family Fun Day on Sunday 11th August and the Bajan Boyz Excursion on Sunday 25th August.

Following on from the announcement made recently by our Prime Minister, Mia Mottley. We will be gathering in 2020, to celebrate our Barbadian diaspora right here in Reading, UK the capital of Barbados in England. Monthly events are being planned. Stay tuned for further updates.

Yesterday at Robin’s Bajan Park Lime was a wonderful end to the excellent summer that we have had. Many thanks to the stallholders;Asher's Bar (Asher Crichlow), Caribbean Ice, Rosemary, Elca, Reading Labour Party, EFAMS medical services, Happy Faces UK (Ebru Palmer), all of Robin's staff, the Djs D**o Ranks and Caribbean Love (Hartley Hurley) and all of you who came out to support this maiden event. Lastly, big thanks to Robin for putting on this community event. I hope you all had a good time, the feedback so far has been positive. We look forward to seeing you all again next year!
