We have been giving advice, and selling cloth nappies since 1999. We stock a quality range including British Made brands Tots Bots & Nature Babies. New to cloth?

We've organic, flats, fitteds, pockets and all-in-one/two systems to suit all budgets and requirements. When we started in 1999, there was nowhere near as much choice on the market as there is now, but it's nice to see that Motherease, the first brand we stocked are still going strong, and their wraps are just as reliable as they are today. Over the years we've seen many 'new' brands come on the m

Keep baby cool in hot weather with Mother-ease One Size or Sandys nappies.
Sandys and One Size both fasten with poppers and look trim and neat when on.
On a hot day, when you might be outside, or inside on a playmat, try using your nappy without a cover to keep baby cool when you don't want to go nappy-free. Add an extra booster to add absorbency, so the outside of the nappy doesn't get rapidly saturated, and thus can gently evaporate the moisture, which in turn will cool your baby.
We've the last of our Mother-ease One Size fitted nappies reduced to clear at £8 each.

Disana wool overpants are a wonderfully natural, breathable alternative to PUL wraps. Fantastic for for night time, they allow a greater degree of breathability, leaving your baby feeling cool in warmer weather, and warmer in cooler weather as the evaporation through the double layer soft merino wool has a self-regulating effect according to temperature. They also are of benefit for heavier wetters, as the evaporation effect means less bulky nappies for many and no leaks for the heaviest wetters once you've balanced babies needs with the correct amount of boosting.

We have the full range of colours in all sizes here: https://www.twinkleontheweb.co.uk/acatalog/Disana-Pull-On-Wool-Pants-05WOOLDISPULL-3.html - my personal favourite is the Lagoon
plus a limited stock of outgoing colours eg green, plum, hazelnut here: https://www.twinkleontheweb.co.uk/acatalog/Disana-Pull-On-Wool-Pants-05WOOLDISPULLOLD.html
I'll be sad to see the green going, it's been very popular.

The Duo system is very popular 🤩

Simply snap the shaped and elasticated day or thicker night pad into the outer cover and you've a nappy system with great containment 😯

The ability to simply wipe down the inner PUL between uses and re-use with a fresh pad is amazing.

In newborn, small, one size and XL we've a great range of prints and colours in stock - just click to shop 🛒

We like British Made products, and there are none better in our opinion than the sole remaining mainstream UK nappy wrap manufacturer Nature Babies.

All of Nature Babies wraps are made in Leicestershire. With gusseted legs, these wraps are well known for best containment and reliability. We regularly see long retired prints pop up on Marketplace still going strong, some over 20 years old. For years these wraps have been preferred choice of nappy laundry services and libraries due to their reliability from leaks and their robustness.

Available in either sized Classic (for less bulk) or one size Essentials (for economy), you can be sure of a great fit and fantastic containment.

Why are muslins recommended for newborns, and which are the best muslins to buy?
Two main reasons, firstly they're not bulky on a tiny baby, and secondly they're very quick to dry.
A newborn will wee and poo often, and not in a ny great volume, so it's a big advantage to have a nappy that can be washed and dried quickly. Muslins are also pretty cheap, so you can have a lot at very little cost - and once out grown as a nappy they have a multitude of other uses - burp cloths, mopping up cloths, bibs, etc etc.
There's lots of choice of muslins, but my recommendation is to buy ones that are 70-80cm.
High street stores and supermarkets tend to prefer to stock smaller 60cm ones. The advantage of a larger muslin is that it can always be made smaller to fit baby, but you have the advantage of the extra fabric for absorbency.
It's surprising how much more absorbency a 70cm can hold vs 60cm - it's only 10cm...but of course it is square!
A 60cm is 3600cm².
A 70cm is 4900cm².
So you can see a 60cm muslin is going to be less than 3/4 the absorbency of a 70cm muslin. That 10cm makes all the difference.
An 80cm muslin is 6400cm². Almost twice the size and thus absorbency of a 60cm one.
Thickness and quality also come into play. Many muslins are very lightweight and thin, but if you choose a quality one, not only will it wash and wear well but you'll have extra absorbency there too.
We stock quality 70 & 80/85cm muslins from Muslinz, and organic cotton ones Imse Vimse and Disana:

Fasten with Nappi Nippas or a pin, and a decent newborn-sized wrap over the top. Cute, effective and inexpensive.
