Completed this week in Lower Earley a job that no one likes doing, hanging wallpaper!

This room has 3 outside walls and can become very cold in the winter. The walls were lined with insulating lining paper then finished off with a smart patterned finish paper and a feature paper.

A job I have been putting off for 3 years, my own hall stairs and landing!

One can only hope the kids keep their hands off of the walls............

Advice for the day for anyone that is planning on carrying out their own decorating.....if you have had a fresh plaster skim do not under any circumstances use PVA as a base coat. The PVA will seal the new plaster, but it will also create an impenetrable barrier for any emulsion to key to! The painting that you have carried out will inevitably peel off(especially in an area of high condensation) and this is the result.

Small exterior project completed today after being rained off last Saturday. All pebbledash cleaned and coated with weathershield brilliant white and guttering, soffits and fascias cleared and cleaned

This week's project completed by MDB Decor Reading. Full redecoration of Hall, stairs and landing using Dulux systems throughout. Plus a little praise from Dulux 😀

Beginning of July living room project before and after photos

Scrape and skim artex ceiling, remove and replace coving. This part of the project was carried out by Terry Clarke at TPC plastering services.

Followed by full redecoration of ceiling, walls and woodwork using Dulux Trade paint systems throughout.

Latest completed project, full redecoration to ceiling woodwork and wallpapering all walls in Hall, stairs and landing.

Completed last week, full redecoration of bedroom.
