Some very happy news to brighten a grey Monday!

Definitely 90s are delighted to announce Kate White as our new singer. Kate is an amazing vocalist with many years experience fronting bands and we're very lucky and excited to have her on-board. More importantly, she's a wonderful human being that the boys in the band all already get along very well with.

You may already recognise Kate as the lead singer of Mythicals - the other band that Arran and Wayne play in (that Marcin does the sound for). Everyone is still fully committed to both bands and we're all very excited about what the next chapter of Definitely 90s is going to bring. We will soon be bringing you details of when you can come and see us all again!

We do realise however that having us in multiple bands may cause confusion. So below is a handy guide to help you out:

Is the song you're hearing from the 1990s?
No = Mythicals
Yes = Definitely 90s, Possibly Mythicals

Is Wayne wearing a bucket hat?
Yes = Definitely 90s
No = Mythicals

What is Marcin up to?
Doing sound = Mythicals
Playing bass = Definitely 90s

Is Arran playing like one of the best drummers around town?
Yes = Either band
No = Not applicable

What does the banner behind the band have written on it?
Definitely 90s = Definitely 90s
Mythicals = Mythicals

Singer loading... announcement incoming...

25/10/2025

It is with deep sadness that we have to announce that Sarah has decided to leave Definitely 90s. Sarah has decided to take a step back from her musical projects to focus on her family. We wish her all the best with that.

The band weren’t made aware of her decision until after the Purple Turtle gig, hence why nothing was mentioned there. And with her decision to leave with immediate effect, we regret to say that our gig at the Three Tuns in December is cancelled. Which also means we won’t get to give her a final send off.

In more positive news, the rest of the band have decided that too much time, money and effort has gone into it to get it to this point and will be carrying on. The search to find a new singer has already begun. It won’t be an easy job, but we firmly believe no one is irreplaceable and we’re now looking forward to this next chapter.

So while things may go quiet on here for a while, rest assured we are all working on things behind the scenes and we’ll be back!

It's October. And you know what that means...
..it's Purple Turtle month!

23/05/2025

We've got some compilation videos from the Turtle to show you all. Was lovely to see the place bouncing and everyone enjoying themselves. Playing to an audience like that is easy!

Arran, Wayne and Marcin have to concede that the girls did win the What's Up vocal battle. We'll have to change that next time lads!

Enjoy...

Set up and soundchecked for the Turtle. But the most important thing is being able to watch your beloved Coventry City in the play off semi final while playing…

Live @ The Purple Turtle: 28. Don't Look Back In Anger - Oasis 09/05/2025

This is it. The last of the videos from our December Purple Turtle gig, 12 hours before we get the May edition underway.

One of the most iconic and anthemic songs from the 1990s. Usually found near the end of our sets. A real chance to singalong after spending the evening getting those vocal chords lubricated with alcohol. Even if you don't remember much about the 90s, you'll probably know this one.

Stage times tonight: 8:30-10:30. But we'll be hanging around the Turtle before and after. Feel free to come and say hello and have a drink with us!
