The first Passive House wasn’t a house… it was a ship. 🚢❄️

The Fram, used in the Arctic expeditions of Nansen and Amundsen, was built with:

It kept the crew warm through Arctic winters with almost no heating —
the same principles used in today’s Passive House Standard.
