Our client’s relationship with his partner had broken down a number of years ago but they have not formally divorced given an ongoing dispute regarding property. He formed another relationship overseas and has been in that relationship for more than 2 years. We assisted our client in applying for his partner to join him in the UK arguing that his first relationship has clearly broken down, albeit that he is not formally divorced. Our client’s partner has been issued an entry clearance visa to join him and the couple are now able to move on with their lives.

Our client who is an EU national and has been resident in the UK since 2004 was convicted of various offences for which he received a 12-month custodial sentence. He was served with a notice of liability to deportation. We made detailed representations setting out reasons why he should not be subject to deportation proceedings given the protections under the EEA regulations. We made detailed representations arguing that there were no imperative grounds of public security warranting his deportation. Thankfully the Home Office have now confirmed that deportation proceedings will not be pursued against our client. Our client and his family members are delighted with the outcome and can now continue to live their lives in the UK.

Our client is elderly and entered the UK as a visitor. She suffers from significant health issues and sought advice on applying as a dependent of her son. We assisted her with an application outside the immigration rules and are very pleased to confirm that her application has now been granted and she has been given 30 months leave which she will be able to renew and in due course secure indefinite leave to remain in the UK. The family are delighted given the client did not have any relatives overseas who could look after her.

We are pleased to confirm that our client has been granted a visit visa in order that she can come and support her daughter during the latter stages of her pregnancy. Our client had previously made an application for a visit visa which had been refused. However, with thorough preparation and detailed representations, we were able to persuade the Entry Clearance Officer to grant the application.

MashaAllah. After more than four years working on a High Court case, I was fortunate to achieve a successful outcome for my client.

I never expected the thank you that followed.

My client arranged for a hand pump to be installed in a community in Pakistan where access to clean drinking water is limited. Knowing that families will benefit from something as essential as clean water is the most meaningful gift I have ever received.

Today, one of our wonderful clients surprised us with a lovely cake to celebrate a successful outcome. His father’s UK visit visa had previously been refused, and even the latest application was initially refused again. Following our Pre-Action Protocol (PAP) letter, the decision was reconsidered, and the visa was granted.

Now, his father will finally be able to travel to the UK to meet his grandchildren for the very first time.
