This little one stole my heart πΎπ (9mth MaltiPoo) β¦ on my last visit with her at the park she blew me away with how full of confidence she was π€©!!
When I first saw her she was shy β¦ and barky around other dogs outside. We worked on her amazing hoomans leash handling, slowing the walk down, letting her sniff loads β¦ itβs not the length of the walk but the quality ππΊ.
Super proud of you guys βοΈβοΈπ€©xx
What a beautiful soul this rescue (FMNRR) Dalmatian πΎπ boy is!! His hoomans (Foster-Adopt) have really thrown themselves into training.
What I love about FMNRR is that they invest in the foster phase, so that the rescue dog has a greater chance of staying adopted ππΌβοΈπ«Ά!!
He pulled like a freight-train β¦ a strong boy!! We worked on his connection with his new prospective family, counter surfing at the dinner table as he is so tall π«£ππ€£π€£, loose leash walking and other dogs.
There is still a way to go β¦ but with the commitment π€©π«Άπͺof his family who absolutely adore him π he is bound to flourish π.

Just love this gorgeous boy πΎπβοΈ (10mth Lab - working line) β¦ he is super smart!!! His amazing guardians have been super committed ππΌπ€©π₯³!
Iβve known him since he was a pup & his guardians noticed the βadolescentβ phase (cloth eared πππ€£π€£)beginning! He has been working on greetings, loose leash walking and his sudden aversion to jumping into the car.
The adolescent phase β¦ is about finding less overwhelming environments to train. Often lowering your expectationsβ¦going back to the basics whilst their brain & hormones undergo their biggest change.
Be kind to yourselves β€οΈβπ©Ή, laugh it off with a glass of wine π·πβ¦ or 3!! Use enclosed fields, or non trigger walks, shorten training sessions β¦ consider other types of low arousal training. Itβs a phase β¦ it will pass! Youβve got this adolescent dog parents π«ΆπͺπΎπxx

Awww π₯° πΎπΎπ€© these two βmonkeysβ (Teenage Dachsies) ππ β¦ smashed training today (as did their βdadβ)!
They have been on a journey with cats, people coming into the home and today started to realise a hooman π«£π€£π€£ was attached to the other end of the lead π₯³βοΈ!
We looked at βdadβsβ leash communication, how we can use our body to help our dogs understand what direction we want them to walk, what to do when we stop or see other people & dogs. They had lots of praise/reward, encouragement and connection whilst meeting their needs to be β¦ dogs ππΌπΎπΎπ!!
Bonnie (aka Bon-ba-lom) 1yr old Bichon β¦ πΎππhad another days visit! She is a FMNRR little one! She is such a love-bug π, fun and smart!
We did a little training, had lots of socialisation with different ages of hoomans, enrichment and a short walk π€©πΎπxx

I am just super proud π of this little girlβs (4yr Hungarian Puli) progress πΎπ!!
When I first met her, her responsible and amazing π€© hoomans had muzzle trained her. So I met her muzzled and with BIG fearful emotions β€οΈβπ©Ή.
Very quickly we began to show her βpredictableβ handling whilst meeting her needs through patterns and breed specificβfunβ.
Yes there will be ups and downs but each week, month, year showing up like her guardians do β¦ helps her on her journey ππΌπΎππxx

Super proud of this brave boy πΎππ (12mth Bulgarian rescue) β¦ who started his journey to being more comfortable walking to his hoomans car, jumping into and being there even if for a few minutes πΎπππ!
He has overcome his worries about leaving his home and now loves long walks with his big sister dog π!
His guardians have taken their time with each element really reading his body language ππΌπππ!! Always training at his pace πΎπxx

Thatβs a wrap ππ₯πππΎπ β¦ just back from a re-home assessment! Time to get-to-gather with family and friends. The tree is up, champagne on ice and a roast waiting to be cooked and enjoyed ππ€ͺ.
Iβd like to wish my incredible dog guardians who invited me into their homes and trusted me with their pups/adolesent/rescues πΎππΌππΎππ a very very Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year π₯!! See you all in 2026 π₯³πΎπΎπ

*sad news*
Daisy-dog (19yrs & 12 days) passed away yesterday ππΎβ€οΈβπ©Ήπ’. We are all in shock β¦ we did not see this coming as she was running alongside one of her best buddy dogs βPonnersβ on Friday at the park. She was my heart-dog π and my home is a now bit empty and quiet. I feel super blessed that she came to live with me (rehomed from a family near Basingstoke) at 2yrs. We have all been on adventures with her and we know that Molly-Polly πΎβ€οΈβπ©Ή who passed away last year will be looking after her in doggie heaven π β¦ simply thank you Daisy-doo-bug ππΌππΎππxx
PS: Thank you to the amazing team at Vets4Pets Tilehurst β¦ for the care, professionalism & compassion who looked after her right to the end πππΌπxx

His amazing hoomans have been smashing training π€©πͺπ! He is still in the process of βwinningβ over his βolderβ ball mad dog brother π. This week we focused on βtraining &funβ together πΎπΎπ so that both begin to see there are positives π.
