Dr Rich Kay, Founder of Chapter2, has been digging into this fascinating book by Joe Blake. Much of what Joe shares is about his journey of faith. The Chapter2 Team enjoyed a great morning with Jonny Matthew. Jonny is a social worker and criminologist working to promote recovery for troubled children and teenagers. He also co-developed and leads training on the Trauma Recovery Model (TRM). TRM combines theories of child development, attachment and neuroscience with hands on practitioner skills.

This weekend saw Great Britain's Josh Kerr break the world record for the mile. This record stood for 27 years. Like many achievements of this calibre, a lot of dedication, perseverance and sacrifice sits behind it.

The same can be said about mentoring. To build a strong and trusting relationship mentors sacrifice time they could be doing other things, dedicate their energy to spending time with their lad and often have to persevere when life throws up challenges in their lives or in the lives of their mentee.
