IT'S LIKE WATCHING PAINT DRY
(Well, that's exactly what it is)

20 minutes between each coat of nitrocellulose lacquer it says on the tin....just enough time to make and enjoy a cocktail.

This build's paint drying tipple was a whisky sour, which was delicious. FYI, I recommend at least 10 fine coats of lacquer, but I don't recommend 10 of these. You'll be dribbling over and ruining your fresh new finish by coat 3.

To make the cocktail:
50ml whiskey
Juice of one lime
½ an egg white
1 heaped tsp powdered sugar

2 dashes Angostura bitters (optional)
2 handfuls ice

Simply vigorously shake the whiskey, lime, egg white and sugar with ice and serve! Add bitters on top if you're into that.

Enjoy in moderation and spray safely!

The sun was shining ☀️, humidity was low, the temperature was around 20degc, so I decided to use the garden as a spray booth, and the grass as a workbench....

Lesson learnt, I did however manage to achieve a nice blue/black burst finish on one of our mahogany PRT kits using our high quality black nitrocellulose lacquers from HMG paints.

So in all, worth the earful I got when this was discovered.

One of the most common questions we get asked about our set neck kits is regarding how easy they are to glue in.

The simple answer, pretty easy!

The two main important things to check are
1) Neck fit - should be nice and snug
2) Scale length - represents string length which should be equal form nut to 12th fret and 12th fret to bridge.
