Repair Barn

Another great piece of work from the team. This settle was painted black, so had to be stripped and refinished. The oak and carving looks amazing.

I’m constantly amazed are the skill and care that goes into repairing some of the items that come our way.

We are doing our best to save Christmas, or at least the sleigh and reindeer used by someone special at Christmas. We need to repair and repaint… and we’ve only got a few weeks….

We've had some amazing things to repair in the last few weeks... as well as plenty of more traditional items. All important!

One of the hares was back - broken right ear and foot this time, but Paul’s healing touch

I met Charlie Bennett today - he is makes and repairs beautiful things in leather. He showed me some really lovely items of hose tack, straps for banjos and a case for a photographer's lens. I am looking forward to seeing some of his other work.

Today I met Charlie Barrett who makes and repairs leather items from his workshop in Aylesbury. They are truly beautiful items and made with great skill. He showed me some of the things he'd made, there were items of horse tack, a photographers' lens case, banjo straps and whole range of lovely things.

Paul repaired these lovely hares - the both had broken left ears

Repaired this lovely model boat, ready for the next generation!

Have recently re-woven these stools - very satisfying to make them usable again!

Has an interesting challenge last week repairing this butter churn - really just a big jig saw puzzle
