SLIDES & FEEDBACK: Our lively discussion at Google’s London offices around the relationship between publishers and platforms was more than a month ago - but the issue is still very much on our minds.
If you're also still thinking about it too, then we hope you’ll let us know what you think we might do to move the conversation on.
To thank you for your thoughts on that - any other suggestions about speakers, hosts and sponsorship of future DEN meetings - we’d like to offer you the opportunity to download the presentations by the Reuters Institute’s Nic Newman on the Digital News Report and AOL’s Oliver Tobias on their Publishers Outlook 2016 study: https://goo.gl/forms/6n4mj0GRVPm2tcr92
Also: So far, more than 240 editorial, technology, commercial and senior managers at news media companies have told the researchers from the World Association of Newspapers and News Publishers (WAN-IFRA) about their strategic priorities. If you’d like a free copy of the World News Media Outlook report summary, complete the 20-question survey by Friday, October 21st. https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/WNMO2016English

With opening remarks by BBC News Digital Development Director James Montgomery and speakers including Dmitry Shishkin, BBC World Service Digital Editor; Elisabeth Plank, Senior Editor at the leading news media company for young people Mic; Alec Saelens, a co-founder of The Bristol Cable; and Change.org talking about campaigning communities, this is not one to miss.
We’ll learn about the latest research into youth news habits around the world, debate the fragmentation of audiences, and discuss the latest techniques that publishers (and other sectors) employ to engage audiences and build communities on digital platforms.
