Finishing up the week with a bmw 320d M sport. Having been in to the main dealer for a recall and having a health check carried out a number of items were highlighted, the customer contacted us to replace the front discs and pads plus wear sensor and saving him close to £350 over the dealer price while keeping the parts quality high. Busy Saturday morning starting with a Vw Passat screaming due to the alternator pulley not in good health and falling apart. Rather than replace the alternator which would be costly a new pulley was sourced and fitted with a new belt and that’s that issue sorted. On the health check highlighted a broken coil spring so that was also replaced while in for repair work.
Next was a Mercedes Vito for a new thermostat and housing plus temp sensor to rectify an issue there. Saving both customers a lot of money over the main dealer prices and some of the other garages. For any repair work drop me a pm.

Hyundai coupe in for a health check and get to the bottom of a knocking noise and wayward steering. Upon doing the health check I found a number of items not in good health. Oil leak from cam cover due to old gasket gone hard and brittle so new one replaced. Lower suspension arms fitted as the old bushes had split causing the steering to be loose and wayward. New aux belts fitted due to being perished and split. Will be back in for more work in the future to rectify a few more issues but for now it’s safe to be on the road again. Sunday saviour for this tradesmans van. The water pump had decided to give up. Dropped off on Saturday night back on the road today. New water pump, belt tentioner and pulleys fitted to ensure reliability and keeping him earning money. Tonight’s job was a very poor running bmw 135i. Bad misfire on idle and would barely run, after doing some data logging and fault finding cylinder 6 was the culprit of the issue.
After a strip down revealed a soaking wet spark plug and a knackered fuel injector. New parts fitted and injector coded up and running with all the bhp back from the factory. While in there giving all the covers and braces a good clean all part of the care I give these cars. Much money saved for the customer rather than put in BMW’s pocket.
