Machining facility | 3.4 million balancing shafts & camshaft tubes

Our 10,000m², six production hall facility located 60km north of Berlin has been driving precision manufacturing since 2010.

Built around highly automated, high tech robotic lines, the site specialises in machining balancing and cam shafts for luxury OEM passenger vehicles, delivering large volume production with exceptional accuracy.

Machining facility | Over 1 million pieces annually

Our Westhausen site has been at the heart of Schmidt Automotive since 1985.

Acting as the headquarters for both Schmidt locations, this facility focuses on milling and turning of complex components as well as machining iron castings in middle/small series for industrial and passenger vehicle applications.

Precision manufacturing, specialist knowledge and flexibility are paramount to this site’s success.

Wheel flanges assist in securing a vehicle’s wheels to the axle, meaning they play an essential part in the configuration of a standard car. MAT Foundry produce 15,000 of them every year. Find out more…
