Delectability

A friend’s birthday is always a good excuse for a cake!
This is just a simple madeira, covered in fondant icing with royal icing decoration ‘cornelli lace’ style.
Unfortunately didn’t get a photo with the candles in on the night! Never mind!

After quite a break, I made a pavlova for a friend’s party this weekend so, of course, had to make my favourite raspberry trifle cupcakes to use up the spare egg yolks for the creme patissiere.
They’re always a hit 😊

Sometimes a baked cheesecake doesn’t work out... especially when the base soaks up the majority of the bain marie 😡🤬 that’s 3 hours effort in the bin 🗑

Not one for those afraid of calories 😁

All ready for my work colleagues tomorrow. Half a bottle of rum included 😳

It’s been fed every week for 3 months - it almost fell apart when I took it out of the tin. It’s now covered and drying out ready for decorating on Wednesday and delivery on Thursday. Watch this space!

I had some batter left over so cooked it and made the little one for Nan.
Can’t wait for my new cooker to arrive. Plenty more baking to be done once it’s in 🤗🤗🤗

I was asked to make a simple cake for a pearl wedding anniversary. The only specifics were lilac flowers.
The whole cake is pearlised which doesn't show up well on the photos.
