"Ghost town": Bournemouth restaurant closes due to the "state of town centre" A BOURNEMOUTH restaurant has shut its doors after struggling to stay in business because of the "state of the town centre."

It is with a heavy heart that I have to announce that it is now time to permanently close the doors of Gio's in Bournemouth😞

I don’t need to say how hard it has been for everyone in the industry since Covid hit & as perfect as the location seemed at the time, it has changed dramatically in the past year by the lack of footfall coming into the town centre coupled with all the pop up beach restaurants in summer, staff shortage, energy crisis and now this cost of living crisis, we just cannot keep the doors open any longer.

It’s been a fun year and I have loved cooking for all, but as they say, all good things must come to an end.
