24 local schools have each created an amazing wooden Story Door based on their favourite books, to help us celebrate the National Year Of Reading.

P.S Poole Pride 2026 takes place on Saturday 6 June 2026 at the Lighthouse Poole Centre for the Arts.

We would like to give a BIG SHOUTOUT to all our volunteers who have supported Parkstone Library this year.

⭐Our Duke of Edinburgh Award volunteers who give their time to help in the library.

⭐The Knit and Natter ladies who knit hats and scarves for the homeless and have recently crocheted beautiful blue forget-me-knots for Dementia Week.

⭐Our Tech Buddy who's been busy helping our customers every Friday afternoon with the phones and laptops and internet problems.

⭐The Royal Voluntary Service who provide a home library service for our customers who are not able to visit the library in person.

And all the other volunteers who have helped and supported with shelving.
