Provost Stephen and Bishop Ian are at the General Synod of the Scottish Episcopal Church (SEC), a sort of church parliament. Today they are hearing from the Secretary General of the Anglican Communion, to which the SEC belongs.

🎶 Gaelic Concert Series at St Ninian's Cathedral, Perth 🎶

We are delighted to be hosting a series of free monthly Gaelic concerts in the Chapter House at St Ninian's Cathedral throughout Summer, Autumn & Winter 2026.

Featuring some of Scotland's most exciting emerging Gaelic musicians, these relaxed and informal afternoon performances offer a wonderful opportunity to enjoy live music, celebrate Gaelic culture, and meet the artists afterwards over refreshments.

📅 First Wednesday of each month:
• 1 July – Grace Morton
• 5 August – Mairi McGillivray & Katie Allen
• 2 September – Kaitlin Ross & Catriona Hawksworth
• 7 October – Isla Ratcliff & Evie Waddell
• 4 November – Kristina Leesik & Séamus Ó Baoighill

On Sunday we celebrated the 60th anniversary of Fr Geoffrey's ordination. He preached for us on the text "Follow me", and we wished him many more years, singing a traditional Russian chant.

We are delighted to Welcome the Scottish Recorder Orchestra and their conductor Ian Wilson to Perth Cathedral this afternoon ahead of their concert here at 6pm.

Admission by voluntary donation, all welcome

At our Eucharist for Corpus Christi we gave thanks for Christ's presence in the bread and wine of communion. The blessed sacrament was placed in a monstrance and carried around the cathedral in procession, before being returned to the aumbry at the end of the service.

Today we celebrated St Charles Lwanga and the Ugandan martyrs. Powerful address from Fr Ross based on talks with Ugandan friends on the influence of the Holy Martyrs today.
The blood of the martyrs is the seed of Christians!
