One of the worlds oldest golf courses. Affordable golf in the centre of Perth, next to the river Tay This is where it all began.
Golf has been played on the ‘Inch’ for over 500 years and it’s one of the worlds oldest golfing venues. Lying within the North Inch parkland and on the banks of the river Tay, North Inch offers an enjoyable challenge to players of all abilities. Only a short iron shot from classical Georgian City of Perth, it is no more than an hours’ drive away for most Scottish golfers. The course is an enjoyable challenge at 5442 yards off the medal tees, with a par of 68. This gives some hope to the beginner and high handicap players, but still offers a challenge to the low handicap player. Having started as a 6 hole course, moving on to 12 and finally 18 holes, the additional holes being laid out by the legendary Old Tom Morris of St Andrews. The North Inch Golf Course is 45 minutes by road from Edinburgh, 30 minutes from Stirling and 20 minutes from Dundee.

🏆 2026 FRIENDSHIP TROPHY WINNERS 🏆
Congratulations to the winning team in the North Inch Golf Course 2026 Friendship Trophy!
After a closely fought competition, Craig Dewar of Perth Railway Golf Club, John Gibson of Perth Artisan Golf Club, and Gregor Thexton, NC and Max Thexton of North Inch Juniors claimed the trophy with an excellent score of 55.4. 👏⛳️
The good weather helped make it a fantastic day, with a wonderful mix of ages and golfing abilities taking part. It was especially pleasing to see our juniors and adults playing together, sharing plenty of laughs and enjoying the game as one team—that is exactly what the Friendship Trophy is all about.
A special thank-you to Pamela Milton and Alison Aitken for providing the delicious home baking enjoyed by the players on their return. It was very much appreciated! 🍰☕️
Well done to our winners and to everyone who took part and made the day such an enjoyable occasion.
We are looking for a pair to join the 1330 tee time in Sunday’s Mixed Open.
The Mixed Open Greensomes is a good fun event and the only requirement is that the players must have an official handicap and CDH number.
