ClimbScotland
Here to inspire young Scots to get climbing, while giving parents, schools, youth groups and climbing walls the skills and support to meet their needs.
ClimbScotland is made possible thanks to funding from sportscotland through National Lottery Good Causes. Check out: http://sportscotland.org.uk

Are you coming down to SYCC at EICA Ratho tomorrow? Here’s everything you need to know 👉
04/06/2026
Every year, we rely on over 150 volunteer judges and around 50 volunteer belayers, from our grassroots competitions to the Scottish National Championships 🏆🏴
Without your help, we couldn't support our young (and less young) climbers getting on the wall, doing what they love and developing as athletes - so thank you!
Competition Coordinators (CCOs) are especially key members of our team, who lend us their years of expertise and experience to coordinate smooth running of the day. One volunteer said:
"The Scottish competition climbing scene is like one big family. Volunteering for ClimbScotland events is a rewarding way to contribute to the community and help nurture the upcoming generation of young people getting into this wonderful sport."
If it sounds like something you'd like to get involved in we are in need of volunteer judges and belayers for the upcoming SYCC on Saturday 13 June at EICA:Ratho!
Full training available, free tea & coffee all day... Please complete this form to register your interest :) https://tinyurl.com/4jz293rm
In Scotland, we’re lucky enough to access some incredibly beautiful places to climb 😍
But with this access come responsibility! Remember to follow the Scottish Outdoor Access Code when climbing outdoors ⬇️
1. Respect the interests of other people
2. Care for the environment
3. Take responsibility for your own actions

We are pleased to welcome Jonny Lowit to our team as the new ClimbScotland Head Coach 👋
Jonny grew up in Aberdeenshire and has been climbing for over 10 years. He first developed his passion for the sport in the Cairngorms National Park, following in the footsteps of his grandfather and exploring crags such as Lochnagar and Dubh Loch 🧗♀️
His stoke for climbing quickly expanded across all disciplines, and he's travelled the world, climbing several of the US Top 50 classic climbs.
Based in the North East of Scotland, Jonny focuses on performance coaching and increasing participation in the sport. He works closely with the Scottish Development and National squads, with a particular interest in the mental side of climbing and applying psychological approaches to coaching and competition.
