What are the benefits of completing the COSCA Certificate in Counselling Skills with Rowan?

* Our maximum group size is 12, which allows every student to ask questions, to be observed several times during skills practice, as opposed to only once per module.

How do I become a counsellor?
The first step is to complete a Certificate in Counselling Skills, such as the COSCA one Rowan offers. This course usually takes a year part-time. The certificate develops your counselling skills and introduces you to counselling theory, ethics and self-awareness.
The next step is to complete core practitioner training, that's a Diploma, a Masters or a Doctorate in Counselling. These courses are provided by counselling agencies, colleges and universities.

On a beautiful July day in Perthshire, we said a fond farewell to our colleague and friend Monica. We have enjoyed working with Monica over the last few years, as she cheerfully recruited and supported our team of counsellors.
