Another great afternoon out on our Wheels of Friendship minibus - this time to Gloagburn!
Our next trip out is Thursday 9 July - if you know someone who might benefit from coming along, please get in touch!

This is a new initiative aimed at those who may be unable to get out and about on their own - we'll go on short trips,, usually culminating in a cuppa and a chat. We can accommodate users of wheelchairs and walkers, as the bus has a lift. The trips are free, but as always, community donations towards running costs are always welcome.

What a difference a couple of hours hard labour can make! Thanks to Stanley Development Trust Board Members and Elspeth from West Stormont Woodland Group for all their hard work clearing and levelling the ground and reinstating the fence.

Next up: a little more clearance, getting some planters in place, new paths and a gate!

COMMON GROUND GARDEN:
This is how our site currently looks - but come along to talk to us about how you would like to see our food growing garden to develop, and get involved in the decision-making! A small team from Development Trust and West Stormont Woodland Group will be at the garden on SATURDAY 13 JUNE 2026 - FROM 10AM - 12 PM. Come along and see what we're doing and have your say! See you then!

PLEASE NOTE: Access at the moment is down the muddy path between West Park and the War Memorial, so please take care and wear suitable footwear.
