An investigation is officially underway in Edinburgh after a bus journey turned into an absolute nightmare for a young woman 🚌👀

Jennifer Rain, a 22-year-old chef, was heading home from Haymarket when she realised she had misplaced her disabled bus pass.

Thankfully, a kind Lothian Buses driver understood the situation and let her board for free.

But as Jennifer walked down the aisle, a Royal Mail worker sitting at the front of the bus suddenly lost his temper and launched into a loud, aggressive rant about her getting on without paying 🤬

Fearing the situation might escalate, Jennifer pulled out her phone to record what was happening.

The man only grew angrier, demanding that she stop filming while throwing heavy insults and offensive language her way.

He even got out of his seat, walked across the aisle towards her, and made threatening remarks about her never having a slap in her life, telling her to delete the footage.

Jennifer bravely stood her ground, asking him to leave her alone, while the bus driver stepped in to tell the man to cool his jets or get off the bus 🛑

Jennifer shared that she was absolutely terrified and frozen in her seat, secretly begging that he wouldn't hit her.

She expressed deep relief that her two-year-old child wasn't there to witness the ordeal and emphasised that nobody should face that kind of intimidation, especially after a simple mistake with a disability pass.

Now, both Police Scotland and Royal Mail are officially investigating the incident.

A spokesperson for Royal Mail made it clear that the man's behaviour was completely unacceptable and fell well below the standards expected of anyone representing the company, promising full cooperation with the police to get things sorted out 👮‍♂️📦
