Sketch Outside Lurking in our very own Davie park are all sorts of creatures and beings, if we’re very quiet, and very patient we may be able to..DRAW THEM!

Sketch Outside material packs!
These include a multi-media sketchbook, a techniques list with written descriptions of each technique, a roller ink pen, a jumbo graphite stick, a regular graphite stick and a couple of pastels all inside a lovely pencil case so you can carry your materials with ease as you do your drawings 🖼

Meet the artist!
My name is Katie and I am from Blairgowrie and currently study at the Edinburgh Fine Art Atelier. I received my undergraduate degree from Duncan of Jordanstone in Dundee receiving a First Class Honours degree in Contemporary Art Practice in 2020. I draw in a range of styles and am very interested in how people engage in art and believe art and creating is something everyone should have access to. Through out my degree I was struck by the number of people who, when learning I studied art, would tell me they used to love art but a teacher told them they weren't any good so they stopped, or that they loved it but never found time for it or even that they have hundreds of materials but no clue what to do with them!
I started Sketch Outside to provide workshops that break that feeling of "not good enough" or let people see that they can achieve the work in their heads with some practice. Drawing is fun and a unique way to get to know your local landscapes-no fussing with fruit displays or tip-toeing around a life class if you’re nervous-just get to your local park and get stuck in.

I've attached a wee range of the sort of work I've done or that I am currently working on for anyone interested :)

All materials are included in a handy take-home pack so you can continue to draw in your own time.
