Bruach Statement:

Bruach has parted ways with fiddler Kayo Ono.

We’re incredibly grateful for everything she’s brought to the band over the past two and a half years. Some of our biggest moments simply wouldn’t have happened without her, and performing at Expo 2025 was the icing on a very layered cake.

Kayo's drive and passion, energy and musicianship really pushed us on, and we'd recommend her to anyone looking for a fiddler in a group or solo setting. We wish her all the best in whatever comes next.

For now, Bruach will be taking a short break from gigging while we figure out our next steps. We’ll be back.

Thank you to everyone who came along last night and supported live music. We had a wonderful evening playing alongside Mad Ferret and really enjoyed the great atmosphere and warm audience.

It’s always a pleasure to share Scottish folk music with people who enjoy listening, singing and sometimes even dancing along!
