📢 📢 Calling all writers and book lovers! Join local author Karen Macfarlane for the first guided Creative Writing Session with the Blairgowrie Library Creative Writing Group. Together, we'll read stories and poems, using them as inspiration to spark our own creativity and develop new ideas.

✅ No need to book; just come along and join in.
🆓 Sessions are free, and all are welcome, ages 18+.

🎒 Learn how to sew your own reusable lunch bag for National Foodbank Day. Save money, help reduce food waste and cut down on single-use plastic packaging.

During this hands-on workshop, you'll be guided through the process of creating a personalised lunch bag to take home. Perfect for bringing meals to work or school, or for days out and picnics.

Join us at Strathearn Community Library for an inspiring evening celebrating National Poetry Day, featuring acclaimed local poet Patricia Ace.

The event will also showcase poets whose work has been selected for the library's poetry exhibition, giving them the opportunity to perform alongside Patricia.

This year's theme, Wonder, invites us to embrace creativity, curiosity and reflection. It's a chance to explore new perspectives, celebrate imagination, and connect more deeply with the world around us.

Strathearn Community Library is delighted to present its National Poetry Day 2026 Exhibition, inspired by this year's theme, Wonder.

Featuring a selection of submitted poems, the exhibition will be on display from 29 September to 30 October 2026.

Come along to discover new voices, celebrate creativity, and enjoy the 'Wonder' of poetry.

Join us at the AK Bell Library on Tuesday 29 September, from 2.30pm to 3.30pm for our next reminiscence group session. Enjoy a cup of coffee, friendly conversation and the chance to share memories from the past.

🍂 This session's theme is Autumn/Scottish Food, as we look back on autumnal memories and what we ate. Whether you'd like to share your own stories or simply listen to others, everyone is welcome.
