This week’s - don’t put chocolate or sugar on top of your coffee machine. As it is used and dropped, it will fall through the top of the machine and then burn onto the boiler and surrounding hot pipework.

What is included in a service?

One of the things you might have seen on our engineer’s job report is “level probe cleaned”. If you’ve ever wondered what that meant, now you can see!
Here is a before and after of a level probe - it senses the water level in the boiler. Cleaning it annually as part of the service keeps it functioning and sensing the water level correctly.

This week’s comes from one of our customers - they had the ingenious idea to cut a green kitchen scourer to fit into the drain tub of their coffee machine. This prevents grounds clogging the drain pipe, which leads to water backing up into the drip tray.

When a long standing customer calls and says their machine has died and needs replaced asap…we’re there installing it the next morning. In their favourite colour no less 😎 looking bright and sunny ☀️ on this dismal grey morning!

This wasn’t getting any water through into the coffee.
After some investigation Nick found the brew solenoid & dispense channels were blocked - these have now been cleared and the machine is thankfully producing wet coffee again (the kind we all ideally want)

This week’s - always switch your machine off at the end of the day. If your machine starts leaking steam or water overnight it can cause significant damage if it’s leaking all night.

It’s a little bit late but here’s our - always have a water filter installed with your coffee machine, as this will help prevent scale and debris getting into it. Scale causes lots of problems within your machine and will shorten its lifespan.

As much as we try, we can’t fix them all.
This Bravilor Esprecious had been reported by the customer as smoking & leaking - when Dell took the case off he found extensive damage and the machine had to be scrapped.
