I offer bagpipe & chanter lessons within the Perth & Kinross area. My lessons are open to anybody interested in learning such a wonderful instrument!

Know your tutor - Cal MacDonald - "I am originally from the small village of Golspie, Sutherland. At the age of 7, I was lucky enough to have weekly chanter lessons with my tutor George Stewart, and these lessons lasted for almost 10 years. Although I remember being reluctant to learn at first, I feel so lucky to have been gifted with this skill.

Learning to play the bagpipes led me to join the Sutherland Schools Pipe Band, where I played all over the Highlands, and twice in Canada taking part in the Calgary stampede. After leaving school, I spent a summer season busking outside Dunrobin Castle, performing for thousands of people from all over the world.

In April 2022, I moved to Perth after finding my dream job as a support assistant for the youth homelessness charity The Rock Trust. Although I work full time, I am so excited to be offering evening and weekend tuition to everyone looking to learn such a wonderful instrument!
