It’s me 🫶🏼 well overnight I crept up to over 1000 of you on this little corner of the internet & I just wanted to pop ere & say IYA, it’s me Gay 🧡 I cannot thank you all enough for joining me on this journey. I only rebranded in December so this feels like an amazing start to the year & although for me, building community is much more appealing than the follower count & stardom (jokes) that comes with having a large following, one thing is for sure, you guys really are my community 🧡 thank you to everyone that likes, shares, comments & gets involved in my stories. To everyone that understands my vision & to everyone who trusts me with their beloved clothes 🫶🏼 you all make my heart so full & I am forever grateful.
Here’s abit more about me that maybe you don’t know (or maybe do):

🧡My favourite colour is ORANGE!
🧡Being outdoors makes me happy, I’m a big hiker & recently have been coming to terms with my 4 legged friend slowing down so a new approach of slow gardening is upon us this spring/summer
🧡The above 4 legged friend is named Tux aka Tuxedo Black & you’ll see him popping up from time to time on my stories 🐶
🧡I’m 36 years old (soon to be (37)
🧡My go to music is anything funky from disco to house but love to throw abit of Simply Red on from time to time
🧡I am a self taught seamstress & have been sewing more than half my life
🧡My favourite era is the 1970s
🧡 I don’t drink, I chose to give up almost 2 years ago to prioritise my mental health.
🧡My favourite cake is a swiss roll
🧡I love everything about buying 2nd hand, supporting small businesses & being mindful about the kind of consumer & what foot print I am leaving on the world.

That’s just a lil snippet about me 🫶🏼
Again, thank you all for being here, it means the world.
Love & gratitude,
Gay 🙏🏼

In a world that constantly encourages us to buy more, it’s time to take a stand against the consumerist frenzy of Black Friday. Instead of mindlessly spending on new clothes, let’s shift our focus towards the art of repair.
By choosing not to spend but mend, we can make a powerful statement against fast fashion and its detrimental effects on both people and the planet. Let’s reduce fashion waste has been my mantra for almost a decade & is an act of rebellion against throwaway culture.
On the evening of Thursday 23rd November I am opening up my studio doors for a FREE Sashiko for repair workshop. Limited spaces available so head over to the website to book your spot & get your name down!
Whether you’re a sewing novice or a major league stitcher. This workshop is to be a creative expression, messy or immaculate, however you want to be.
This is a Sashiko for repair so the idea is to bring along your own item of clothing that is in need of a stitch or 2 whilst I guide you.
I look forward to seeing you. 🧡
