This was something completely new for me.
I picked up a new lens and decided to try something different, so I went along to photograph the England Women’s Deaf Rugby game against Jamaica. I’ve never shot sport before, so it was a bit of a learning curve, fast paced, unpredictable, and very different to what I’m used to.
But that’s what this page is about. Trying new things, learning as I go, and figuring it out along the way. These are a few moments from the game, exactly as they happened, and I’m really glad I gave it a go. I’ve got plenty more from this, but these are a few of my initial favourites.
I can’t wait to try it again and start learning how to predict the plays and capture the right moments 📸🏉

It’s time… this page finally has a name again.
Welcome to Where It Clicked Photography 📸
I’ve been quiet on here for a while, not because I stopped, but because I’ve been figuring things out behind the scenes. I’ve still been shooting, still learning, still experimenting, and working out what I actually want this space to be. There were definitely moments where I thought about giving it up, but something about this page never really felt finished, so instead of leaving it behind, I’ve decided to come back to it with purpose and build it into what it always deserved to be.
Where It Clicked feels like the right name for that. It’s about the point where things start to make sense, the trial and error, the learning, and the moments where something finally works and you realise you’re getting somewhere. Over that time, I’ve built up a mix of work I’m genuinely proud of, some new, some older work that never got shared, but all of it deserves a place here.
This is a fresh start, but also a continuation of everything that’s led up to it. This page is going to be a space for everything I create, the good, the not-so-perfect, and the progress in between. No overthinking it this time, just consistently getting work I’m proud of and actually sharing it.
The next chapter has finally started…
Wow, it’s been nearly 4 years since I last posted here… where’s the time gone?!
A lot has changed since then. Recently, I launched my new adventure into pet photography under Pawtrait & Tails, which has been my main focus these past few years. It felt like the right time to give that its own space, but this page still means something to me.
So, it’s getting a much-needed rebrand and refresh, and I’m excited to put some life back into it. ✨
In the time I’ve been away, I’ve learnt a lot. My skills have grown: behind the camera, in editing, and in pushing myself creatively. I’ve spent a lot of time experimenting and refining my process, and I’m finally getting results I’m really proud to share. This page will be a space for everything from portraits to experimental photography, behind-the-scenes moments, then-vs-now comparisons, and whatever else feels right along the way. I’m all about learning, trial and error, and consistently getting work I’m proud of. 📸
Before diving into what’s next, I want to take a moment to honour what came before. I’ll be sharing a bunch of older photos that never got posted. Not because they’re perfect — they’re not — but because they’re part of the process. They represent a time when I was still figuring things out, and they remind me how far I’ve come since then. 🌿
These photos might not reflect where I am now, but they’re a reminder of where I started and the growth that’s happened along the way. No photo deserves to sit in a forgotten folder, and this feels like the right way to close out MLP Photography properly. 🗂️
So this is MLP, powered by the Nikon D3300 and D5600, signing off.
Thank you for being here, whether you’ve been following from the beginning or you’re just joining now. I’m really proud of how far things have come, and even more excited about where it’s all heading. 💫
Let’s see where this next chapter goes.
