Lios na Bealtaine, the fairy fort of May.

This one was made for a cottage in Ireland, where the garden spills into the hedgerows and the old names still mean something.

Pressed wildflowers, fern, robin, butterfly, all held beneath layers of resin, sealed into a deep forest green. A house sign that feels less like a label and more like a small piece of land itself.

There’s a stage no one talks about.

Not the picking. Not the arranging. Not the pour.

The waiting.

When the zinnias and cosmos are laid flat under the press and you just… leave them. You can’t rush it. You can’t check. You trust that what goes in will come back as something worth keeping.

Some of these, the orange ones, the deep reds, came straight from my garden this summer. I grow them knowing where they’ll end up. Still, every time I open the press I hold my breath a little.

And then she messaged me.

“A robin. Butterflies. A tiny fairy. It’s our cottage name.”

I already had the flowers. I just didn’t know yet who they were for.

That’s the thing about making this way, sometimes the garden knows before you do.

Preserved moss, fern and ball moss tumbling over a slice of live edge olive wood and below it, river sand, seashells and starfish resting just where the tide would reach.

This one took a long time to come together. Every element collected, considered, placed by hand. No two pieces ever look quite the same.

Zero maintenance. Entirely handmade. A little piece of the natural world, forever on your wall.
