Another week, another group of standout performers earning their place in the Gedling Colliery CC Team of the Week 👏

🏏 Weekend Round-Up 🏏

Another busy weekend for Gedling Colliery CC saw our sides battle hard across the club, with the 1st XI securing their 3rd win in a row and the first win of the season for our Sunday XI.

The 2nd XI and Women’s XI came up short and unfortunately, the 3rd XI’s match was abandoned.

Thanks to all players, scorers, volunteers and supporters who made it happen - plenty more action to come this week!

After a brilliant weekend that saw all four senior sides record victories, attention now turns to another packed week of cricket for Gedling Colliery CC.

Saturday sees the 1st XI return to Plains Road, while the 2nd and 3rd XIs hit the road. Sunday sees both our Sunday XI and Women’s XI in action as they continue their seasons.

And the cricket doesn’t stop there… with 8 midweek fixtures on the schedule, including T20 action for both the 1st XI and 3rd XI, plus plenty of junior cricket throughout the week.

A huge congratulations to on scoring his maiden century for Gedling Colliery CC last weekend!

Diniru produced a superb innings of 118*, helping the 1st XI to a commanding victory and earning a place on the Nottinghamshire batting honours board this week👏

An outstanding knock and hopefully the first of many hundreds to come in a GCCC shirt!

Following a fantastic weekend that saw all four senior sides record victories, here’s this week’s Team of the Week 👏

FIXTURE ROUND UP 🏏

For the first time this season, every senior side in action came away with a victory this weekend, as the 1st XI, 2nd XI, 3rd XI and Development XI all got the job done 👏

Strong all-round performances across the club, and plenty of wickets to back up some impressive batting displays.

Our junior teams also took to the field earlier in the week, with one match unfortunately ending in defeat and another falling victim to the weather.

A fantastic effort from everyone involved and plenty of momentum to take into the week ahead 💛💙
