A huge congratulations to Bridget Knowles, George Fox Smith and Edward Hall on their new roles within our Commercial and Private Client teams.

Say hello to our new starter, Edward Hall 👋

Following a successful few months interning with our Private Client team, Ed now joins us full-time as an Account Handler.

With a degree in Economics and Business from the University of Exeter, his strong academic background and positive attitude to growth and development make him the perfect addition to our expanding Private Client team.

Speaking on his appointment, Ed said: “It's great to be a part of a fantastic team within a company with a long and successful history. My commitment to client service, integrity, and building relationships strongly aligns with the business’s wider core values, making this a wonderful place to pursue a career in insurance.”

Ed is currently working towards his Cert CII qualification by April 2026.

Congratulations to George Fox-Smith, who has been promoted to Commercial Account Executive 👏

George joined us eight years ago as a Private Client Account Handler, providing bespoke personal policies and claims support for our high-net-worth clients.

He quickly became an invaluable asset to the team, later joining our Commercial team as an Account Handler in 2021, bringing his growing knowledge and expertise to a range of SMEs and large corporates across the UK.

In his new role, George will be continuing his excellent work maintaining the strong client relations that make our business so special.

We're delighted to share that Bridget Knowles has been promoted to Commercial Account Executive!

Bridget joined us in 2001, following a successful career at General Accident (now Aviva), starting in The Midlands and moving to its London and then Northwest office as a Bonus Executive.

Bridget has been a part of our team for more than 25 years, handling a portfolio of our corporate clients. The move comes as a natural next step, given her proven track record of handling clients with care and attention.

We can’t wait to see you thrive in your new role!

Our Quiz Nights have long been a fixture in the Trent Bridge calendar 📅

Over the years, they’ve brought together colleagues, partners and friends for evenings filled with friendly competition, great conversation and a shared commitment to raising money for some fantastic causes.

In our first year working together, the Outlaws lifted the County Championship trophy at Trent Bridge - a great success we're sure was no coincidence!

Over the years, we have had a long-lasting relationship with Trent Bridge, and it's been great to extend that relationship into the Acrisure family - combining the expertise and relationships of local brokers with the scale and technology of a globally connected platform.

We’re so pleased to share that Director Joanne Marriott Dip CII and Private Client Manager Sharron Torr will be leading Acrisure Nottingham local Charity Committee for 2026! 👏

As a business that’s been part of the Nottingham community for more than 145 years, giving back is something we truly care about. Over the years, we’ve proudly supported some fantastic causes – including Trent Bridge Community Trust, Spectrum WASP, HOPE Nottingham CIO, and Cancer Research UK.

In 2025, thanks to the amazing efforts of our team and committee, we raised more than £11,300 for our Charity of the Year 🎉

Now, with Jo and Sharron at the helm, we’re looking forward to another impactful year of fundraising, volunteering and community support. They’ll also be working closely with the Acrisure UK Broking Charity Committee, supporting even bigger initiatives across the UK.

We can’t wait to see what’s in store 💙

We had a fantastic evening at the 127th Nottingham Insurance Institute Annual Dinner 🎉

Hosted at the lovely Alea Casino, the event was a brilliant celebration of our region’s thriving insurance sector – bringing together brokers, insurers, financial planners, solicitors, recruitment agencies and many more from across Nottingham, Derby and beyond.

It was a great opportunity to catch up with industry friends, make new connections, and reflect on the achievements of the past year.
