Amazing news, a step closer to a more sustainable world 🥳
Disposable vapes are officially banned in the UK! 🎉
Up until now, five million disposable vapes have been thrown away every single week, with many of them ending up as litter in our woodlands, rivers and the ocean where they can cause harm to animals and marine life.
From today, shops and businesses will no longer be allowed to stock and sell disposable vapes. This move represents a major milestone in protecting wildlife and the environment.

🔔❗ UPDATE - Our prices have increased slightly (10%) only for HOUSESITTING. This follows the increase in the minimum wage.
It will be applied to all bookings from June onwards.
It does not affect those who have already booked for the summer 2025.

So, I thought I'd post this, to talk a bit about how/why Paws&Hands was set up, as well as to show the face behind it.
Growing up I've always had a passion for animals and the environment so I've always wanted to pursue a career in animals.
So I decided to take up dogsitting through the summer for a few years, this was through Rover.com.
But I didn't attend college until later for my HND in animal management.
After passing, I went to uni for a top-up zoology degree but unfortunately it didn't work out as I would have liked it to.
Throughout this time, I've had some unusual pets like stick insects and degus. I also worked and interacted with various animals.
I used Rover.com for a while, but I wanted to widen up my pet care services as well as getting a different part-time job.
I felt it was time for me to set up Paws&Hands as it had lingered on my mind for many months and I wouldn't stop talking about it to people. So I did!
So that's the story and as you can see, there is no limit to what I can take care of!
