This June, Surface is delighted to host the photographic exhibition A Degree of Uncertainty, opening this Friday in the main gallery. Alongside this, our project space will also present Nottingham College’s exhibition Sustainable Future: Face of Change.

We look forward to opening both exhibitions with our donations bar from local brewery, Pheasantry. As always, entry is free and everyone is welcome!

We’re very proud to announce our upcoming Street Art Fest 2026. The annual Street Art Fest celebrates the best local, national and international street art. Join us this Summer for a refreshed look at Notts’ vibrant alternative art scene, featuring guest speakers, creative workshops, and ground breaking street art.

Submissions are now open for our expansive floor-to-ceiling saloon-style exhibition in August. Follow the link in our bio to take part.

Please bring your submissions to the gallery on the scheduled drop-off date. Application forms will also be available to collect in the Gallery from 5th June! Please check our website for our opening times: www.surfacegallery.org

Street Art Fest launches on Friday 7th August at 6pm with a live DJ (TBC) and refreshments. As always, there will be a donation bar with a range of ales from local brewery, Pheasantry.

Surface invites you to the opening of Los Viejos Y Olvidados (The Old and Forgotten) by Juan Aguirre on June 5th. We hope to see you all there and look forward to an exciting exhibition running from June 6-13th!

Surface Gallery needs your support! Fancy perfecting some poetry, getting crafty and connecting with like-minded creatives? Come visit us on the last Thursday and Saturday of May and help us in the run-up to the summer Street Art Fest. Book your tickets by scanning the QR code or following the link in our bio.

Tomorrow is the final day of the NTU Graduate photography Exhibition, so don’t miss the chance to see this years graduate talent and experience a really exciting exhibition.

We are open as usual from 12-6pm.
