Death Party UK

Today's offering from the YouTube vault and another bit of the Death Party UK story takes us to the promo video for "The Devil's Music". A track that had become a live staple in DPUK's sets. Most of the live footage was taken from a small grassroots gig we did in a room in a venue that was usually a Fish and Chip shop, but on Saturdays and Sundays, bands played there. As a matter of interest, that gig was released as an official bootleg via our Bandcamp page and via our digital distributor called "Rock the Chipshop".

It's another day and another video from the vault and another chapter in the band's story.
One thing that sets DPUK apart from many other bands is that, despite the darkness, there is a sense of fun in the music at the same time. I think that the promo video for "Hellfire Rock 'n' Roll" captures this aspect the best.
The video was shot in Newstead Woods on a warmer than it looks summer day.

Morning everyone. Time for another DPUK video from the vault and a bit more of the band's story.
As mentioned a few posts ago, at this point in the bands evolution we had evolved into a tight live unit and many of the videos post "Mark of the Vampire" had live elements, or were based on a live performance. This video was the first of them. "Skintight". The performance footage was filmed at "The Chameleon", another Nottingham venue that sadly does not exist anymore.
So ladies and gentlemen, I give you "Skintight".

Here is the 'behind the scenes' video. At this point, we had started to play live shows, and the response to DP live was always positive and joyful.

With the next two videos we get to the game changer video. I experimented with a better video editing programme. Some outdoor filming at the nearby ruins of Annesley church and the result was the video, and the making of video for "Mark of the Vampire" our most popular video to-date.

With this next video from the vault sees DPUK take a major paradigm shift. At this point in the band's development, Scarlet formally joins on backing vocals and we recorded several songs in quick succession. The video to "Hellzapopin", again recorded in our old old Nightbreed Studio shows the first step in the direction the band would take and the look and sound of DPUK that would be cemented in the scene's mind.

I was too busy to post a Death Party UK video from the vault yesterday, so today I will post two.
First one is for a track called "The Last Ride" which was shot by Scarlet Moonchild Bamford at our old, old home back in 2013. This DP track is a bit of an oddity as it's all about my last day working for a college where I had worked for many years. The lyrics were written in real time of my last day as things were happening, and ideas were coming. It's a bit melancholic and not really how DP should be, but it is what it is and stands as a marker for a particular day in my life.

The next video we put out was this little fun scratch video for the song "A Lucifer in Red" . Partially made up of crazy giffs as well as left over footage from "A Lady in Black" as we gradually evolved and progressed as a musical entity.

As part of our daily trip to the Death Party UK video vaults, today I present the first video that featured Scarlet Moonchild Bamford . Despite always being the muse behind the project, this is the first time she appeared in the video.
This track is called "A Lady in Black" and it was filmed at our old, old house and studio in Hucknall UK. Why this track never made it to subsequent CD releases, I have no Idea as I think it's a good track.

Today's video from the Death Party UK archive. "Across the World". This video was the first one that featured the band rather having been made up from clips. The video was shot in the old, old Nightbreed Studio by Scarlet Moonchild Bamford. As at this time she had not fully joined Death Party UK, despite always being it's muse, and we were still a studio project.

This morning's visit to the Death Party UK video archive is the second video we did, namely "Devil in the Woods". A catchy little number that was also an early stage favourite.
What I forgot to mention is just like the "Black Train" vidio. A lot of the artwork was by the ever lovely Scarlet Moonchild Bamford . Though she was at this point in the bands development, yet to appear as we were a studio project only, but this was to change.
