🌳 We are very saddened by the news this week that the Major Oak in Sherwood Forest has died.

This magnificent tree plays a huge part in the legend of Robin Hood, and is thought to be between 800 and 1,000 years old.

As a charity that has advocated for the environment in Nottinghamshire for over 35 years (a sliver of time in comparison!), we know the tree will be missed by many.
