It's World Kidney Day! Please share this post and help us raise awareness of kidney disease π
Because early diagnosis is so important - it can help you maintain kidney function for as long as possible through treatments and lifestyle changes.
These are just some of the symptoms of kidney disease, but others include:
- Headaches
- Dizziness or lightheadedness
- Bone or joint pain
- Difficulty sleeping
- Shortness of breath
- Tiredness and lack of energy
- Finding it difficult to concentrate
- Feeling sad, irritable or anxious
If you're experiencing any of these symptoms, please speak to your GP as soon as you can.
Thank you to Ella Harding Illustrates for this beautiful illustration.

Hi
I want to say a big thank you to everyone at Danielle's Flutterbyes who has helped me by giving me this laptop. It's a wonderful gift and I love it. It will help pass the time on dialysis.
The kindness of this charity has made living on dialysis easier and less stressful. There are not enough words to express how grateful to Ruth, Sarah and Fiona for making this possible.
Thank you
Patrick Sweeney

Christmas time as most of you know is a bad time for me so to do something wonderful for the Carrel ward, which is a high dependency ward at the city hospital was amazing for me and my charity.
It will not end here however because with the help of a young man, Corey Moore we can do something similar for the Bramley ward also of the city hospital, and hopefully we can help even more high dependency kidney patient wards.
Thank you to all the nurses for giving me the most warm welcome, it was extremely emotional but so comforting to me that all the nurses remember Danielle with much love. Danielle will wholeheartedly agree with what my charity is doing in her honour. π©·ππ©·ππ©·π

What a brilliant night we all had on Saturday. Starting with Nicola, Zandra, and Denice presenting a routine of Chicago, Elvis, Kyle as Kyra Jewlz, Kev, Zandra. Justin and Denice as the Spice Girls. Darren as Robbie Williams. Mark, Zandra as Boy George, finishing with Charnie as herself π not forgetting Pauline, Mark's beautiful wife.
They all put 200% into this night which flowed beautifully. Culminating in an awesome amount being raised for my charity, a grand total of Β£1,071.30. Which means the absolute world to us and I can't thank you enough.
I would also like to thank everyone for coming and i hope you all had a fantastic night πLastly , what Mark Preston does for my charity and others is incredible. He has the kindest heart β€οΈ β€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈ
