Before MURMUR left the studio, I invited JP Bland to capture a series of photographs. The sun was shining, so we wandered outside by the river for a few outdoor shots — and the pheasant feathers absolutely shone in the day light.

MURMUR is currently on show at The Only True Protest Is Beauty at the Palazzo Pisani Moretta in Venice.

Last few days to see ‘Parade’ at Palais Idéal!

This mesmerising architectural folly, realised by the postman Ferdinand Cheval, has left a lasting impression on my heart and soul. Regardless of my exhibition, if you have a chance to visit this remarkable site, please do go. I hope you too shall be left as inspired as I have.

Closing 20th April 2026.

WHELM PERMEATE (2024)

This meticulous work has taken many years to realise: gathering tiny magpie feathers, carefully grading them by size and subtle shifts of colour, and finally placing them into an ordered yet wave-like composition. The result is bands of luminous colour that shimmer as you move around the piece, revealing an iridescent glow. As the light changes, the surface appears almost three-dimensional. The intensity of the colour never ceases to amaze me, continually drawing me back to my enduring delight in—and fascination with—the natural world. At Art Geneva with in a two-person booth with

NUZZLE (2024)

Showing this coming week at Art Geneva with in a two-person booth with

🗓 29 January – 1 February 2026

Nuzzle is made from extraordinarily fine, ethereal goose feathers, meticulously layered to build opacity and depth. The work demands close inspection. Captured in a state of suspended inertia beneath an unusually large, antique, hand-blown glass dome, the form appears to gently squirm against its confines.
