I’m helping to save the lives of our community, MORE BLACK DONORS ARE NEEDED NOW!
I have heard about Sickle Cell disease and the fact that it affects more black people than people from other ethnic groups but never met someone with the disease. I then read the story of this beautiful 7 years old girl SHAYLAH who need blood transfusion every three weeks to keep her alive! I wanted to do something about this and help her or someone else who is really in need of urgent support to keep breathing like I am and to give them hope to live and see another day.
Some rare sub-types of blood are more common in specific communities, which is why particularly more black donors are needed.
I HAVE JUST GIVEN BLOOD TO HELP SAVE A LIFE and give someone else a chance to live! Please follow my lead and register to donate and give some hope to someone who might be on a waiting list to receive blood- http://bit.ly/2f5493J
