💡 What happens if your PA works extra hours?

If your PA works more hours than usual, it’s important to make sure those hours are included in your payroll information.

Most councils have an agreed number of hours covered by the Direct Payment, so additional hours may need to be approved by them before they can be paid. Always check with your council if your PA has worked more hours than your usual allocation.

Extra hours can affect:

✅ Your PA’s wages
✅ PAYE and National Insurance
✅ Holiday pay calculations
✅ The amount needed from your Direct Payment
