Award winning Product Design Consultancy The philosophy from day one was that sound engineering practice and creative Industrial Design are interdependent.

FSW Design was founded in 1995, following the collaboration between experienced designers Philip Forrest-Smith and Miles Wills. This ethos has seen the company develop from strength to strength, always with constant investment in new technology and an ambition to design class-leading, award-winning products. Creating a commercially successful product requires creative, technical and strategic thin

FSW Design recently partnered with Loughborough School of Design and Creative Arts to set a design brief for final year students, as part of their 'Live Brief' module. Six companies in total presented design briefs to students, who were given a week and a half to respond. All students delivered a product concept, demonstrated across three presentation boards.

The top submissions were recognised and awarded at an exhibition evening in the Design School on 24th February. It was great to see all the students' hard work on display!

FSW tasked students with designing a street side electric vehicle charging solution to help alleviate the issue of trailing cables from properties in urban areas with no off-street parking.

Congratulations to the following students who were awarded by FSW Design:

1st Place: Liliana Alexandre
2nd Place: Natasha Burt
3rd Place: Alex Miller, Lewis Barker and Carys Gardiner

We all took a trip down to London on Thursday to visit the New Designers 2017 exhibition at the Business Design Centre, Islington. Everyone had a great time browsing the excellent design projects on show, speaking with graduates and catching up with friends!
