Autumn Collection Project
The Autumn Collection Project is the World’s Biggest Spray Can Show.
This project is a vast collection of old, empty spray cans that have been recycled and transformed into some sort of art displaying the beauty of autumn, handmade by Tokyo 709
The whole idea of creating this spray can show originated 20 years ago, in 1999. After a decade, the colours possessed by autumn really inspired the artist and the atmosphere supported the idea of developing those warm colours of autumn into an art project as it is the most colourful season of the year. 2009 was the "break-through" moment when Tokyo felt most motivated by autumn, to add, it is where all the concepts have generated along with the increase of passion he had for the industry. The artist was eager to create something that would impress and satisfy and in some way bring positivism to people, hence after 7 years of acquiring many convenient materials and resources for the finishing product, the process of creating the Autumn Collection Project had officially started in 2016. The number of cans amassed over the following three years and was continuously accelerating.
The mission was accomplished in 2019 October 26th. Each one of those cans have been taken with so much care, and handmade with such passion, hard work and determination. This show has been cautiously considered with over 20 years of experience and is presented by the quantity, quality and uniqueness in the art exhibition.
