Occupational Health is becoming central to menopause support in the workplace.
With growing focus from Government, regulators and employers on improving support for women’s health at work, organisations are now expected to take a more structured approach, including developing Menopause Action Plans.
This is where Occupational Health professionals play a crucial role. Our Certified Menopause Training Programme for Occupational Health Professionals, developed by Henpicked in partnership with the Society of Occupational Medicine, has been designed to help OH practitioners navigate this evolving landscape with confidence.
Menopause Friendly members receive one free place per member organisation on this training, so book your spot now. If you're not a member, paid places are available.
If your organisation would like access to opportunities like this, please get in touch to find out more about becoming a Menopause Friendly member.

Menopause Friendly Accreditation, as assessed by our independent panel. 👏
Claire Pennell Assoc. CIPD, HR manager at Barcan+Kirby, said: “I’m so proud that we have received this accreditation. Normalising conversations to remove stigma around menopause has been key to creating an open and supportive working environment. The openness of our employees in sharing their personal experiences has been truly inspiring, and I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who has contributed and continues to support Barcan+Kirby in ensuring everyone feels they belong.”

A very special moment, delivering our Menopause Friendly 5th birthday honour to Ninja Theory’s Jade O'Kane and Beth Cates. And what a place to see it proudly displayed, alongside their BAFTAs! What a statement. 💜
Ninja Theory received our Trailblazer Honour for becoming the first organisation to be awarded Menopause Friendly and Menstruation Friendly Accreditation simultaneously, an incredible achievement. 👏
In a creative industry that’s traditionally male dominated, they chose to be proactive. They didn’t wait for people to struggle in silence. They opened up conversations about menstruation and menopause, built awareness across the studio and made practical, inclusive support part of everyday working life. 🤝
From studio-wide training and visible leadership support to inclusive facilities, the Black Hoodie Initiative, clear guidance and safe spaces for conversation, they’ve shown what it means to turn awareness into action. We love how thoughtful, practical and brave their approach has been. 😍
Huge congratulations to everyone at Ninja Theory. You really are trailblazers, here’s what Jade said on receiving the award:
"We’re so proud to have received this year’s Trailblazer Honour in recognition of our simultaneous accreditation achievement. Since the start of our journey to becoming both a Menstruation and Menopause Friendly Employer, we have enriched our open and inclusive culture even further by creating an environment where people feel comfortable to discuss topics that too often go unspoken. Ninja Theory remains dedicated to creating a workplace that encourages Ninjas to bring their authentic selves to work, so supporting those who menstruate and experience menopause felt like a natural next step in expanding the support we offer.”

Congratulations to Kinly on achieving the Menopause Friendly Accreditation 👏
This recognition reflects their commitment to building a workplace culture where people feel supported, understood and empowered at every stage of their career.
To achieve this, they focused on meaningful, practical action:
⭐️ Creating space for open and honest conversations
⭐️ Introducing a dedicated menopause leave policy
⭐️ Providing visible support networks, mentors and resources
But beyond policies, this is about culture, ensuring their people feel confident to speak up, access support and bring their full selves to work. Because when people feel supported, they can truly thrive. 🤩

A to standing outside the Royal Lancaster London as we prepared to launch the very first Menopause Friendly Employer Awards.
At the time, recognising employers for their commitment to menopause felt ambitious. Necessary, yes, but ambitious. We believed organisations should be acknowledged for doing this work properly; for listening, learning and putting meaningful support in place.
Looking back, we’re incredibly proud of how far the Awards have come...and we’re only just getting started....
