Last weekend we took our repair tech off out to Wales to repair a customers amplifier and have a nice weekend break.

Customer desktop PC came to us this morning with random shutdowns and reboots often.

After a short diagnostic we decided the PSU was most likely at fault.

Replaced with known good PSU et voila, working perfectly once more.

Amplifiers, Amplifiers, Amplifiers. Seems to be a trend of late.

Another one with the dreaded lead-free, 33 solder joint failures in total, another one fixed with a reflow of 63/37 😜👌🏼

Another one fixed, in fact the fourth one of this model we've had over the years on the bench.

Unfortunately this unit was previously repaired elsewhere in 2019, but using lead-free, and it failed!

This is exactly why all repair work we carry out is done with high quality lead based solder (63/37) and why our repairs don't fail! 😜
